A Car Club for Lancaster

Transition City Lancaster is working with others to help create a car club for Lancaster. We need to gauge interest in the idea from residents and get information to decide the best way of making it work.

A car club close to you in your community would mean:

• Cars parked locally that you could use for as little as half an hour
• Being able to book a car online or over the phone for whenever you need one. Very simply – book the car, use it, return it and walk away!
• Pay-as-you-drive means one bill each month covering all costs (fuel, insurance, tax, servicing etc) – Don’t use it, don’t pay!
• Much lower motoring costs. Members of other car clubs report savings of up to 50% on their annual car costs by joining a car club.
• Fewer cars on the road, which leads to less congestion, pollution and a better environment.
