Mitchell's Malthouse listed
The 18th century Malthouse section of Mitchell's Brewery complex has been listed by the Architechture minister. It's Our City reports that
"Although the designation is specific to this part of the brewery, the fact that the rest of the complex is fixed to the malthouse means that any demolition will require listed building consent ...This is a huge step forward and we must now campaign for a conservation led, smaller scale re development of the Canal Corridor North site."

An Apple tree grafting day has been arranged
for You can learn
how
to successfully join local apple variety cuttings to root stocks.
This
technique can be used on other trees as well, and is very satisfying
to do.
